In light of the current situation, GoMedia Canada scheduled to take place September 9-13, 2020 in Victoria, B.C., will not be going ahead as planned. Instead, Destination Canada is developing a new approach and model for the event aligned to our domestic marketing program and our brand, Canada. For Glowing Hearts.

On behalf of the entire Destination Canada team, we want to sincerely thank everyone involved in this year’s event including our host city partner Destination Greater Victoria and the team at Tourism Industry Association of Canada for their hard work, commitment and support.

We want to reassure you that recovery efforts working with our Canadian partners are underway and include a focus on working with media to tell a deeper story of Canada, one that ties to the uniqueness of our regions with a focus on long-term resilience.

The new GoMedia format and model is aligned with our overall domestic marketing program and will highlight the breadth of social, cultural, economic and environmental innovation in Canadian communities. We hope to host the first pilot of the new GoMedia event in British Columbia this Fall. We will continue to communicate additional updates to the industry as we progress.
